Small village of 500 inhabitants, Poilhes is located below the Ensérune oppidum. Close to the Capestang lagoon,  the riverfront in the heart of the village is teh very image of the Languedoc.

The Sully Elm, a  venerable tree planted in 1608 near the village square.
The Via Domitia, remains of the Roman road are still visible, towards the village of Viala.
Roman remains (Régimont Vineyard, created a historical monument in 1937).
• Archaeology: two English canons found in the waters of Agde are mounted on the bank of the Canal du Midi.
